My Morning Jacket has announced a new album called is.
The band’s milestone 10th studio effort drops March 21. It’s the follow-up to MMJ’s 2021 self-titled release.
In a Facebook post sharing the news, MMJ adds, “We are sending out so much love to everyone affected by the winds of change & disaster going on in the world right now.”
“In trying times it can almost feel trivial to talk about things other than disaster relief, but we feel that music itself is indeed one of the greatest forms of relief that we know of,” they write. “So we hope that the music we put into the world can be of use to everyone in bringing some peace, love, and healing into their lives. In times of trouble or peace, music is there for us all.”
