In announcing a concert at India’s Narendra Modi Stadium, Coldplay teased that it would be their “biggest ever show.” Turns out, they weren’t kidding, and they have the numbers to prove it.
According to Live Nation, Coldplay’s performances at Narendra Modi Stadium on Jan. 25 and Jan. 26 were attended by more than 111,000 people each night. Not only does that make them Coldplay’s most-attended concerts, but also the largest stadium concerts of the 21st century.
Coldplay will be playing slightly smaller stadiums, but still stadiums nonetheless, on their upcoming U.S. tour, launching in May.
