Jack’s Mannequin has announced a 20th anniversary tour.
The headlining outing kicks off June 4 in Portland, Maine, and wraps up Nov. 23 in Del Mar, California.
“Jack’s Mannequin was born out of one of the most prolific and transformative periods of my life,” says frontman Andrew McMahon, who was diagnosed with cancer shortly before the release of the debut Jack’s Mannequin album, Everything in Transit.
“The songs narrate my journey from youth to adulthood, heartbreak to marriage, cancer to remission,” he continues. “The health crisis at the heart of this journey often made it difficult for me to fully appreciate just how magical this music was and how powerfully it connected me to my bandmates and the audiences we played it for.”
Presales begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time. For the full list of dates and all ticket info, visit AndrewMcMahon.com.
McMahon is celebrating the tour announcement with a last-minute Jack’s show taking place Monday in Venice, California.
