Metallica has shared a tribute to late British actress and singer Marianne Faithfull, who passed away Thursday at age 78.
Faithfull, who was know for her association with The Rolling Stones and her hit “As Tears Go By,” collaborated with Metallica on the song “The Memory Remains” off the metal legends’ 1997 album, Reload.
In a post to Metallica’s Facebook, drummer Lars Ulrich writes, “Thank you, Marianne…For the good times For your kindness For the great stories For your fearlessness.”
“And the biggest Thank You and F*** Yeah for your incredible and unique contribution to our music,” Ulrich continues. “And for always being so willing to join us in performing it…and partake in the ensuing shenanigans!”
